Studio North headshot & branding shoot in the Northern Quarter

Studio North in Manchester

Studio North are a brand design and strategy agency based in the Northern Quarter in Manchester. With around twelve or so staff, this collection of talent is headed by Nick Wright (he’s the boss, green shirt). Studio North are a bustling company based in a stunning, now legendary building in the Northern Quarter - the old Express Building in Ancoats

Headshot Photographer Manchester

I am an experienced Headshot Photographer Manchester, and Studio North asked me to visit their offices to produce two sets of headshots, using these indoor versions as their main choice for personal social media headshots (LinkedIn etc). For these photos, I set up a large single umbrella box with a 300w studio head in a dark corridor. A VERY dark corridor. This Headshot Photographer Manchester was facing a challenge; make the shots look moody, but keep the background lit and looking modern (ish). I think we did rather well. Using a Nikon D780 on a tripod, with my favourite 85mm lens, the set of headshots was taken in around thirty minutes or so. Painless! We then went outside to photograph more a more urban looking headshots collection in a side street in Ancoats. You can see the results HERE.

Branding Photography in Manchester

Not only was this headshot shoot a collection of Studio North’s ‘people’, it became part of a branding project for the day - two sets of headshots plus some great images of the team at work for their website. You can see more of my work HERE. Look out for the blog post featuring the team in their offices. The images were taken to replace the stock stuff you get with website templates. Much more realistic, much moire ‘them’ for this Headshot Photographer Manchester.
