Events at The Legends Suite at Manchester City FC

I was booked as an Event Photographer Manchester, to capture Casey’s Wellbeing & Mental Health Event at Manchester City FC’s ‘Legends Lounge’. What a stunning venue this is. As a City fan, I was very excited to be working as an Event Photographer Manchester in this Lounge! Everywhere you look, from the entrance and reception area, to the suite itself, there’s a reference to 93:20 everywher (if you know, you know!) There’s portraits of the classic 2012/13 team too….especially Aguero. Wow, what an office for the day this was going to be as an Event Photographer Manchester for this Casey Wellbeing Event.

Motivational Speakers at a Manchester City FC Event

The main speaker and MC for the day was the very engaging and funny Brad Waldron from Intelligent Inspiration. I’ve worked with Brad before at the Casey Wellbeing & Resilience Day at The Monastery Wow, this man can fill a room with energy! From the off, Brad was incredible. Funny, sarcastic, entertaining, but above all motivational, giving me some great photos as this Event Photographer Manchester. He had the 200 or so guests spellbound with his presentation. With a mixture of Q&A, plus a combination of a technology-based poll /quiz using a system called SLIDO, Brad engaged everyone with their mobile phones for an awesome, instant interactive experience. Brad was the MC all day, guesting between the speakers’ presentations.

Ricky Hatton Former World Champion Boxer

The main guest speaker for the day was former World Champion Boxer Ricky Hatton. Ricky was here to talk about his mental health issues, and how he overcame them whilst boxing, and subsequently relinquishing his title. He spoke about his personal life, and the issues surrounding him not being Number One anymore. As an Event Photographer Manchester, he also gave me some great shots as he spoke to the 200-strong audience. I noticed he had his obligatory ‘cheeky’ pint of Guinness on his table too. Good lad!

Mental Health At Work

Before Ricky, we were treated to a brilliant eclectic mix of speakers. All spoke about specific areas of mental health in the workplace - from stress-related issues, disrupted sleep patterns, diabetes, bullying…and the list goes on. But the highlight of the day for me leading up to Ricky, was Luke from Andy’s Man Club. Luke spoke about his personal story. How his mental health suffered, and how he discovered Andy’s. A very powerful and moving story, leaving the room in total silence as he spoke. I struggled as an Event Photographer Manchester to concentrate on my job, but I shot some great images as I listened to what Luke had to say.

There was also another powerful session, with four Casey employees talking about their personal lives, the external influences on their mental health at work, and how they dealt (or struggled to deal) with the situations. All very powerful stuff for this Event Photographer Manchester.
