Studio North

Studio North are a brand design and strategy agency based in central Manchester. With around twelve staff, this dynamic collection of talent is headed by Nick Wright (he’s the chap in the green shirt). Studio North are a bustling company based in a stunning, now legendary building in the Northern Quarter - the old Express Building in Ancoats.

Headshot Photographer Manchester

I am an experienced Headshot Photographer Manchester, and Studio North asked me to visit their offices to produce two sets of headshots, opting for these outdoor versions as their main choice to promote the company. They loved my headshots that I produced for Hiring Hub and wanted a similar ‘feel’ for their people. We opted to step away from the office for thirty minutes or so, and used one of the gorgeous side streets in Ancoats as a background for their headshots. This urban feel , using the red brick of Manchester as a subtle background was a great idea, and this Headshot Photographer Manchester was loving this approach. Plus the fact we could shoot quickly and efficiently without needing lights or backgrounds, meant this collection of urban-style headshots came together very quickly. A little later, we went back inside to shoot another set, using location lighting to give a very different feel altogether. You can see the results HERE.

Branding Photography in Manchester

Not only was this headshot shoot a collection of Studio North’s ‘people’, it became a branding exercise of its own too. The final collection, with this urban look, became more a brand shoot I think. They have that collective continuity to them, that say ‘Studio North’, and will definitely stand out from the crowd on Google Image searches.
