Mia Horton Art Director
On board with me for both these shoots was Mia Horton - a talented Art Director and Interior Designer I have worked with for a few years now. Mia buzzed in and out of the setups, checking the backgrounds were OK, and the lighting was looking good for the shoots. Mia likes consistency in projects’ lighting. Me too. As we quickly shot the sessions, Mia kept one eye on the monitor to see how it was all looking in-camera. If you ever need a freelance creative, have a look at Mia’s folio here.
Headshot Photographer Manchester
The guys at Go Live Data contacted me to be their Headshot Photographer Manchester, and to produce some branding photography for PR, social media, LinkedIn and their website. Armed with the three main directors, non of whom behaved or took the session seriously….actually make that four with me included. Only kidding. Our branding shoot was at two different locations in Sale. The first shoot featured Adam, Gareth & Tim (he’s the one in the funky red hat!) swapping places and backgrounds for me to build up a library of images as their Headshot Photographer Manchester. The brief as their Headshot Photographer Manchester was to create a set of images with different backgrounds and ‘feel’, so they had fresh photos to use as required….(a bit like how they work really).
PR Photography in Cheshire
This project as a Headshot Photographer Manchester was great fun. The lads were mild chaos to photograph and even control….think cats in a basket. But we got there, eventually. We rotated the backgrounds in our Sale location, and as a Headshot Photographer Manchester got to use some studio lighting on them. The location was very dark, and it needed a touch of professional lighting to make the images ‘sing’. Shooting PR photos in Cheshire can be great fun - working with time constraints makes you sharper and more focused (no pun intended!) as a Headshot Photographer Manchester. We had to work quickly and efficiently as meetings were booked in, and were now looming.
Headshot Photography in Manchester
The second session as a Headshot Photographer Manchester was a location in Timperley - a temporary office set up for my clients. I should have taken a phone photo of the area we had to use as it wasn’t the best, photographically speaking. The reception area was our choice of setup for the staff headshots. A very sparse, small and off-white area with a stairwell leading away (that’s what the abstract shape in the background is). There was a doorway behind me, leading outside to a disabled access ramp. So I opted to use a longer lens than my usual 85mm - a 135mm on this occasion. This meant I was standing outside the building, looking in, but with the two studio lights, and a blurred background, the headshots look great. Team Go Live were happy with them too. as a Headshot Photographer Manchester, I was pleased with them.
Here’s a few from the two sessions…
